Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort, Thailand

Posted on 22 January 2012 by admin

0 Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort, Thailandhttp://issuu.com/activationasia/docs/morice_intro

Morice, Asia’s MICE Ambassador, recently visited Phuket and had the pleasure of staying at Le Meridien Phuket Beach Resort. The hotel has one of the finest beaches on the island and is perfectly located five minutes from Patong for shopping, dining and nightlife, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be a tranquil oasis. Phuket was looking good. Le Meridien was looking great…especially the hotel’s beach. Le Meridien Phuket is an ideal venue for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions & Exhibitions) with good meeting space, dining options and comfortable guest rooms. Plus, the event staff are experienced and adopt a “Can Do” approach. Definitely a resort that Morice plans to revisit.

Where is the best area to stay in Phuket, Thailand to party and have fun?

Posted on 04 December 2011 by admin

Were heading over to Phuket for the first time (have been to Thailand before) but haven’t booked accommodation yet.

We want to stay in an area which is close to night clubs, bars and general entertainment and not too far from the beach!

Can anyone advise us on what part of the island we can get all this? I’ve heard that Phuket is pretty lively in general, but we want to stay in the most liveliest area!

It would also be pretty handy if you could tell us how much the approximate taxi fare is from the airport to the area.

Thanks!

Patong Beach, Phuket – overpriced and over rated. Everything shuts at 2am – been there twice each time trying to see if its me – even my Thai friends cant stand the place.
If you have not booked then go to Pattaya,Party City of all Asia.
If you have done Pattaya , then I suggest Ao Nang, Krabi not only for nightlife but stunning scenery.
if you do decide to go to Patong Beach thenTaxi fare should cost you no more than 800 Bht but depends on your luggage if you have 1 or 2 taxis.
check out agoda.com for place to stay and check out tripadvisor.com for reviews on what to see and do.

Going to Phuket 31st May 2010 is it still safe to go there?

Posted on 19 November 2011 by admin

We are going to Phuket for 10 days & havent heard anything regarding Phuket so just checking that what is occuring in Bankok does not effect Phuket. Are there red shirt protesters in Phuket? Any advice would be great.

Well one, the red and yellow shirts dont give a crap whether you are there or not and they aren’t just going to kill everyone they see. Foreginers dont really concern this matter.
Yes it will be very safe in Phuket i currently live here and the protestors are not here.
Don’t say anything in public regarding them or the King under any circumstances.
Have fun and live it up in Patong. icon wink Going to Phuket 31st May 2010 is it still safe to go there?

What are good things to buy in Phuket?

Posted on 11 November 2011 by admin

My sister is going to Phuket and my mom is giving her $50 to spend on me. Other then DVD’s what are good things to buy in Phuket?

there are all kindsof clothing and nik-naksthat shecanget for you. DVDs are real cheap, but not really ‘Thai’. A couple t-shirts, a couple DVDs, a few postcards, and a wallhanging and that should do it for the 1500 baht sis will have (she will actually use part of that on a fancy dinner icon wink What are good things to buy in Phuket? )

Phuket Diary Thailand

Posted on 21 October 2011 by admin

0 Phuket Diary ThailandPhuket is first mentioned as a major source of tin in the sixteenth century when the island became an important source of revenue for the Thai kingdom at Ayuthaya, as well as an important trading post. It was also during this period that the first Europeans arrived on Phuket.

The best time to visit Phuket is during the cool NE monsoon season, from December through March (See photo Galleries December and January in Phuket), when it isn’t so humid, and the cool breezes keep things comfortable. The average temperature is around 75F to 89F (24C to 32C). Note that lately, as almost everywhere in the world, weather is unpredictable.
